Racing Beat midpipe

hey guys...I'm preparing to purchase a RB exhaust and im super pumped about that but ive heard that a midpipe will provide a better sound and better power gains than just an exhaust. And yes i know that the exhaust wont put out any gains really. If the midpipe isnt going to be overbearingly loud, I'd like to get it the same time as the exhaust and have it installed in one go. Have any of you seen some decent gains from the midpipe??

Yes and I bet this is covered in 500 threads on this site lol. :P

The midpipe could get you as much as 10hp from what I have read on here, but I would go conservative and guess 5 to 10 hp.

Installed my RB DR about 4 weeks ago. It sounds great. No raspy ricer noise. Just deeper bass in the exhaust. I think it gave me some hp gains but then again I was driving around with a bad cat so anything would have helped.

Racing Beat is very honest with the fact that this exhaust makes minimal gains, even with the mid-pipe. It's also very heavy, compared with the stock set-up. I would consider searching the threads for the stickied exhaust discussion before you buy anything - Especially the RB system.

hey sorry for the way late response...havent been on in a while...i was under the impression that the RB set up would be lighter than stock..this is alarming.

I just installed RB catless midpipe 2 days ago and i am 100% sure that the midpipe is lighter then the stock midpipe which has both a catalytic converter and a resonator. I also installed a magnaflow catback at the same time and the combination is LOUD!
