race pipe and intake question? help ...late x-mas shooping...
:Wconfused 1st I been researching some information on a midpipe or racepipe... and the most i read Im getting a bit confused... like for example RP has a midpipe that has a straight cat or high flow cat and race pipe has no cat... now what is the difference if i go to a muffler shop and tell him to run a straight pipe from the headers to cat back would that be the same :icon5: .... i have the greddy catback system what midpipe is compatibla with greddy's :icon5:
:Wconfused 2nd would i be getting a CEL :icon5: in if getting one has anyone found a way to fix that :icon5: :Wconfused 3rd i am looking for a intake? so far i like the k&n but i remember there was issues with old version of it any problems with this one? and is there a better one and around same prize :icon5: where is the best place to order any of this parts...or actually the cheapest :icon5: thanx guys |
I'd get an AEM cold air intake.. hook it up in front of your radiator.. mad air :)

If you ran a pipe from the manifold (or header if you put one on) that would be the same as a test pipe. It would be loud, illegal on public roads, you would get a cel (either lit or not, it would be stored) and give you the most chance for >hp. make sure they weld in a oxy sensor bung. Despite some threads to the contrary, there is no fix. Do a search for why, but it basically is because the ecu tests the cat function by fluttering the afr. No standalone fooler can fool that.
