old K&N vs. new K&N filter

I have an older version K&N intake sitting in my garage. Instead of buying a new intake, I was wondering if anyone knows if the new filter (Part # RU-5123) will fit on the old intake housing?

New filter = $90
New intake = $260

I'm trying to find out if the opening diameter is the same between the two filters (old vs. new).

New: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=RU-5123

Old: (I do not know.)

Thoughts?

(Sorry if this has been asked before.)

No its not the same, I had the old one before and now Im using the new one.

The old and new intake has diff housings, so it wont fit (if u force it thats diff story)

I now use an APEXi air filter on mine and it seems fine now. The shape of the filter is different and seems to idle fine.
