New RX8 Silicon Radiator Hoses

Another press release for RX8 users. Agency Power has just released Silicon Radiator hose kits for your car.

Since we do not sell on the boards, Dealer Inquires welcome directly to the manufacturer. There is no other company with these available. We are using them on the Pepsi car.

Here is the Verbage -
The amount of heat a rotary motor puts out is far greater then most standard designed engines. For high performance needs, keeping a cars engine temperatures down and efficient is EXTREMELY important. Agency Power now offers this 3 ply silicone radiator hose kit for your Mazda RX8. These hoses replace both the top and bottom factory hose. The OEM rubber hose tends to burst under extreme heat and crack over time. These silicone hoses improve flow and are not affected by heat like rubber hoses. They come in 3 powerful colors. Glossy black, red, or blue are available. Each hose kit includes new clamps for easy installation.

Direct info on the hoses with prices and dealer opportunities is LOCATED HERE

Cool !!- (no pune intended)

KYLiquid 08-04-2005 12:04 PM

wow 3 powerful colors.....

I put a set of silicone hoses in my miata, they were replacing rubber hoses with about 20k miles on them, i didnt notice and temp difference, but the silicone hoses didnt expand as much as the rubber ones when hot...that could mean since the cooling system is holding a higher pressure its having better flow and also is more boiling resistant.

zoom44 08-04-2005 12:08 PM

very nice- this i like!. blue for me i think:)

TownDrunk 08-04-2005 03:37 PM

Nemesis8 08-04-2005 03:38 PM

Red will match my Racing Beat Ultra Wires :)

VividPepsiRX8 08-04-2005 05:02 PM

Yeah sorry no yellow. Tell your neighborhood RX8Club guys you want this. We can always arrange deals for them.

XDEEDUBBX 08-04-2005 05:40 PM

Damn I hate AP.

I can't figure out what color to buy!

VividPepsiRX8 08-05-2005 11:06 AM

You have a red car...do RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

09Factor 08-05-2005 09:13 PM

How many are needed to have a yellow run produced?

VividPepsiRX8 08-05-2005 10:02 PM

We would need to have 30 people. If you want to start a GB on 30 people for yellow hoses go for it!

Hey! There are a lot of silvers out here!
I vote for silver :)

...and after the curse gets me, I can sell them for cheap here

VividPepsiRX8 08-07-2005 09:58 PM

Sorry, right now it is blue, red, or black :)

Razz1 08-07-2005 11:10 PM

Silicon hoses will not give you mre pressure and flow to cool your car.

They're just heat resistant. Last longer and look better.

Mikelikes2drive 08-08-2005 01:11 AM

when would u have to replace your factory hoses? if ever?
if i were to need to replace my factory hoses i might as well upgrade to these

crossbow 08-08-2005 09:12 AM

You replace the factory hoses when they start to show wear. Normally you'll see the rubber start cracking around the edges.

There isn't particularlly a "mileage" or "time" to replace them...because its all dependent on environmental and driving conditions.

Obviously if you put 50k on your car in one year, vs 10 years, thats two very different driving/owning situations.

If you take your car to the dealer, they are supposed to inspect them every service. If you aren't, then you better be inspecting them yourself!

Nemesis8 04-11-2006 09:52 PM

Bumpatbump

Anybody try these out yet? If not maybe I will.

Fanman 04-11-2006 10:55 PM

I got them. Fit went on well. Thick as hell. Don't think I have to worry about the turbo heat overwhelming them.

Nemesis8 04-12-2006 08:05 AM

You 'da Man Fanman! Your car reads like a tunning garage shopping list :)

What color did you get?

dsmdriver 04-12-2006 11:43 AM

Silicon is very, very hard. How do you get these to strech and flex as you are installing them? Do you need to heat them up to 2500 deg F before you put them on? Do they come with a warrany in case you drop one and it shatters?

TeamRX8 04-12-2006 11:58 AM

lol, took me a minute to get that one ...

globi 04-12-2006 12:17 PM

silicon is hard (as silicon in processors).

silicone is soft (as silicone in a womans body).

edit: Oh, I see, sarcasm.

globi 04-12-2006 12:26 PM

Talking about brittle: Custom made glass blown hoses:

Thanks. Looking back I probably would have done a few things different, but what's done is done.

I got the blue ones to match my Greddy couplers..

TeamRX8 04-12-2006 02:53 PM

somebody needs to lay off the magic mushrooms ... :rollingla

SSJ 909 04-13-2006 12:09 AM

Does this improve any type of performance at all, or mainly for looks?
aside from the durability factor?

no
yes

beers

Fanman 04-13-2006 12:59 AM

Really more about durability factor. In the previous generation RX's the hoses were known to crack because of the heat associated with the turbo engine (inside the engine bay). Now that I have a turboed car, the last thing I need is for a coolant hose to crack & ruin my motor.

jenkins-crew 06-29-2006 09:54 AM

anyone got pics of these installed?

Jaguar_MBA 06-29-2006 10:37 AM

The primary reasons that upgrade hoses are made is so that the do not collapse from the pump's vacuum pull. For example, in my 1992 300ZX people would replace the lower radiator hose with a re-enforced hose because it was a very long, straight length of rubber in one section ~ 2' ...what could happen is that if the rubber, when very warm could become easier to manipulate (soft)....once it was easier to manipulate the waterpump would pull the hot water through the low radiator hose (as it should) and after a while the radiator hose would start pulling in on itself...eventually it was possible for the hose to collapse.......... that is how the story goes, I am told.

cameron36 06-29-2006 11:36 AM

do you have to take off your front bumper to install them????? also do you think this could make mazda void your warranty seeing different radiator hose.

HCTR154 06-29-2006 12:17 PM

http://www.hopupracing.com/agposirahoma.html

I think $145.00 is a little much for radiator hoses....but if you have a turbo, then these are probably worth it.

Any body had to replace the heater hoses yet? Those seem to be troublesome on some cars, including my '94 Mazda 929.

jenkins-crew 06-29-2006 02:23 PM

Vivid has them 10 cheaper.

bluetii 08-15-2017 03:21 PM

I'm rebuilding an Renny for track duty I bought a set of them in blue I'll post the build and the images of the hoses and how they hold up after a few months of duty/service.

They seem pretty legit no different than anyone elses silicone hoses honestly I wouldn't doubt if all these were made by the same company like many aftermarket parts.

Bought the same kit off Amazon, but haven't gotten around to installing them yet. Count me in if you're sending pictures of what it looks like.

just got these in today, quality is very good! very happy with the buy! think this will be a winter project for me take apart everything and clean up the engine bay area.

SheWitch666 01-15-2018 02:36 AM

Do these hose work on any radiator? Stupid question most likely will. I recently bought

Koyorad 36mm Aluminum Racing Radiator 04-05 RX8

NotAPreppie 01-16-2018 08:19 AM

As long as the hoses are the same shape as stock, they should work fine with that radiator (since it is designed to be a direct "drop-in" replacement for the OE radiator).

So I read somewhere that this kit doesn’t include the three heater core hoses???

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx8...88456cbd00.gif

0-TO-100_Real_Quick 09-16-2019 08:42 AM

I'd have to go back and look now, but I'm pretty sure it did. It even came with a replacement hose for the loop through the throttle body which surprised me. I remember replacing at least two of the heater core hoses, but I can't remember if 61-211 was included. I'll verify after work today.

TeamRX8 09-16-2019 08:52 PM

Based on all the pictures I’ve seen it appears not. They give you one for the coolant radiator cap overflow though, lol

0-TO-100_Real_Quick 09-16-2019 10:13 PM

Yep your detective work was spot on. Double checked earlier and those heater hoses aren’t part of the package.

TeamRX8 09-17-2019 02:45 AM

Well you could possibly use universal straight silicone hose for those rather than formed hoses. Otherwise it seems to be the closest kit to duplicate the majority of the hoses.
