New Intake ???

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this intake before. It looks neat if nothing else. I wonder how effective it is at added horsepower? This kit looks promising, but with it's price $400+ we might as well get the REVi system.

I have seen, heard, and driven an 8 with REVi. I'm getting one real soon. This one looks like it was made at the Home Depot...no comparison

ARC (the manufacturer) has been around for a while. They might have something up on their home page. I haven't seen much from them for the 8 yet. The Induction Box does look like their other induction boxes though.

I love this description:

"Characteristics: The ARC super induction box focuses on low, mid, and high engine response. When stepping on the gas, in between the cleaner and the intake manifold is unused air. ARC invented this Induction box to utilize the unused air and give it better airflow and better response. This unit is also a direct bolt on."

Unused air? In the intake manifold between the filter and the manifold? I believe that would be the maf and throttlebody area. I didn't know that air didn't flow through there! Imagine that. They must really be smart. It is still a generic cone filter on a tube with a heat shield. It is most certainly not comparable to the Racing Beat system. I'm still waiting to see some form of RB clone to come out and see how they left out some important detail that the original had. It'll happen sooner or later.

I saw nothing on their website.

Here is the link.

I like to save my unused air for when I'm ready to race then I gather all of my saved up air and blow a big smoke cloud up my own a**!
