Need some help, waterpump/pulley install multiple fail

so i was installing my shiny new mazmart waterpump tonight, and it was going pretty well. Until i started putting everything back on and accidentally dropped a nut into the engine bay right behind the thermostat housing/pulley tensioner. I tried my best to get it, even took off the alternator but to no avail, so do you think this will cause a problem for me in the long run? or will the nut fall out eventually under the car while im driving.

2nd fail of the night was when i broke the waterpump pulley bolt by over torqueing it. :banghead: the manual said 70lb/ft and it broke without even reaching that torque level, wtf

now im screwed 2 days before a trackday, hopefully tommorow i can get everything back together again

umm do u have a magnet extension.. was it a bolt that fell that goes on to the water pump or alternator

+1 Magnet wands are a must have for anyone that works on their own car!

I am guessing 70 inch lbs, not foot lbs.

70 inch/lbs = 5.83 ft/lbs
70 newton-meters = 50 ft/lbs

your going to need to take the front cover off to get to that over tq'd bolt. you can try and use a shit ton of rtv but that's risky.

it was the bolt on the pulley mount, not the front cover, but i got it out the next day pretty easy, just kinda panicked the night before haha
