I got the AEM one which is the same one as the MS (The MS Intake is a AEM one rebadged) one and the instructions that it came with were easy.

here is a DIY for the AEM

Don't have pictures but you need to take the airbox out, bumper off, lower molding off and side lights out very labor intensive. Just take it slow and follow directions

You are acting like you are smashing rocks with your bare hands. I am pretty much a nob when it comes to installing things and it took me an hour and a bit to install the intake.

I am installing my aem right now as well and i am wondering if i am supposed to put that bag cover thing on the filter or not

I throw it on in the rain to prevent (a lot of) condensation from forming on the MAF

In dry driving I don't think the sock really matters...

It is your choice I did, but it is personal preference it is not so much a bag then that mesh type cover that goes over it.

Yes... the sock should be installed. Its used as a barrier so that moisture doesn't collect on the filter and run up into the engine (which happened to me once).

ok i just started it up and the dsc light is flashing, will it go away by itself?

If you disconnected the battery, then the DSC needs to be reset. Turn full left then right and it should go out. Check the owners manual for more info.

I would start by resetting the KAM:
1. Turn the key to ON (do not start the engine)
2. Depress the brake pedal ~20x quickly until you see the oil pressure gauge sweep back and forth.
This will reset your sensor profiles and allow the MAF sensor to relearn itself to the new intake.
Good luck!

Not sure about the popping sounds. I haven't heard of that from an intake, more like an exhaust. :dunno:
