Need Some Advice

I need some help i have the option of getting a custom single exhaust system but i need some help because i dont know if i want to spend 4 grand on a turbo or use 4 grand to build a N/A 13b

I would like to go turbo but my car has to go through emissions every 4 yrs or so. not to sure but i do have to go through them.

Should i put a 3 inch exhaust sytem with the chance that i may never go turbo and just go N/A or should i use a smaller Diameter for a N/A set up
-What size pipe would i use for N/A? i would like to keep it close to the size of RP super cat.
-What size pipe for Turbo?

also would it really matter if i just did a 3 inch on a N/A all the way out w/ resinators and a RP super cat

Thanks
p.s. i know im going to have to do something about the popping
thanks again for the help

If you try to build a NA sharp 13b with 4000, i tell you from personal experience that you need much more green. Because in order to go NA you should think weight wise. So I have spent until now around 12000 euros for my NA(and yes it is one of the crispier NA 8's) but i can't complete it. Mucho dollars needed. Lighter wheels, lighter exhaust, lighter sports cat, reprogramming, lighter lugs, lighter headers, NOT bodykits,NOT ICE, better lubricants, high octane gas, aluminum suspension, sways, struts, better battery, plugs, wires carbon clutch, lighter flywheel, revi. custom ram air not RB and many more and I am not half the way-->Single ti exhaust, bride carbon seats, stripped interior, lexan, and so on.
But the upside is that I keep most of my motor's reliability and the NA character which I love.
And let us not forget that Greddy kit is a little back in R&D.
My 2 cents if I helped.
PS.: Wait for other turbo/sc applications to come out.

Custom....

If you keep any kind of cat, your pipe choices make no difference - there will be only one, maybe two, horsepower one way or the other.

Custom/single exhaust makes no sense if you are running cats and resonators and trying to pass an emissions check.

You would have to make sure you retain the second O2 sensor dowstream of the new cat, it tells the computer the cat is working, and keeps the "check engine" light off. Light on = automatic fail on an emissions check.

Your other choice is to go all-out, de-cat, no resonator, custom 3" all the way. Possible gains seen so far - maybe 5 rwhp :Freak_ani
