my RB exhaust install

got my RB exhaust in today during my lunch break. had to go pick it up from the house and take it back to work. kind of tricky to get the huge box into the 8, but somehow, it worked out. glad no cops pulled me over!! the installation was freakin' cake!!! took me about 20 mins. the sound is definately deep and throatier than the stock. it isn't that loud on the upper end either. but you definately notice it. power wise...i don't feel anything :D looks bad ass tho...much better improvement over the stock exhaust. snagged some pictures.

Nice! Mine comes on the brown truck Tuesday. I can't wait! How hard will it be to install without a lift?

Im_DANomite 08-31-2005 08:46 PM

shouldn't be that hard. just annoying laying on your back. the RB exhaust is pretty heavy too...so you'll probably end up laying the exhaust on your chest while you hook it up to the car.

having access to a lift is such a bonus, makes jobs much easier :D

Kudos for fitting it inside the car and driving anywhere!

That's a big box. LOL glad you fit it in and without getting pulled over.

If you take it out of the box it easily fits in your back seat with the tips going down where your legs would be. Just cover the center console with a towel or something so it doesn't get scratched.

hehehe :) nice!!! would love to see a pic of you driving with that box inside :D

Don't you hate when someone gives you the most obvious suggestion after the fact! Thanks RotaryNoob! I'll be sure and remember that when I carry mine to the local shop. The pic was worth a million though DANomite!

very nice, yea I had to take out my exhaust from the box when I had it installed. Be careful not to ruin your interior.

Im_DANomite 09-01-2005 02:39 PM

well..i was in a rush to get back to work...so i didn't want to waste time taking it out of the box then cleaning up the mess. plus, i don't have any room in my house for a big ass box. i'm gonna have a problem when my wheels get here. i don't know how to fit 4 19" wheels and tires in my car. haha...we'll see when the time comes. :D

Mikelikes2drive 09-01-2005 07:46 PM

why dont u just ask a friend with a bigger car to help you out?

nSanity 09-01-2005 07:53 PM

because that'd be the easy option :p

invasion08 09-01-2005 07:55 PM

why didnt you just take it out of the box? It fits perfect across the back seats, fits like a glove. Had no problem getting it the back.

Im_DANomite 09-01-2005 07:56 PM

cause all my friends drive sport compact cars. :D

Get ready for the first drive smell... Almost freaked me out, good thing I read it here in the forum about that initial smell.

Im_DANomite 09-01-2005 09:03 PM

oh i know about it. that goes for any exhaust component. oils from your hands, coating from the manufacturer, gaskets, etc.
