My new Midpipe, Shifter and Royal Purple
 

Firstly, swapped to Royal Purple....

All i can say is WOW.... The shifts are so smooth.... It was definately worth the trouble of getting a friend to bring it in from overseas for me... This is how is should have come from the factory... Why da hell couldnt mazda spend a bit more and get us this so much better oil...?!?

Short shifter arrived in the mail a few days later...

The short shifter took under 15 mins to install... Great that I did research on the install in the DIY forums. Once again, I have to say this forum is an extremely valueable resource for rx-8 owners..... The shifter does what it is supposed to do. Shorter and easier throws.. Some people might not like the shifter making the shift's harder (in terms of strength) but i like it. The only draw back is that it allows more tranny noise into the cabin.. That I can lived with...

Got my Midpipe yesterday

Got a custom 2 1/2" midpipe made up yesterday. No CEL's yet yay.... The midpipie makes the car sound really loud... It's only slightly louder at idle, but when i step on it, it roars... I like my car to be inconspicous but i can't really help it now... seems like the car is slightly faster or it may be the ears playing tricks on me. Turbo also seems to spool better although i'm not sure of the technical aspects of it.... The pipe was pretty cheap to make down here... Attached are pictures of the pipe itself before install...

I would like to hear any opinions or any questions.. Just sharing to this wonderful huge knowledgebase we called "rx8club" :)
