Monitoring AFR or EGT for each rotor

Hey folks,
Question for those of you with rotory experience. Is failure of one rotor more likely than the other? Does one rotor run hotter or is more prone to detonation?

Along those lines, is it worthwhile to monitor AFR or EGT for each rotor individually and if so which would be perfered, AFR or EGT?

I currently own an Innovative wideband that I used to tune my previous cars but have an eye on the new FAST wideband. It can monitor and log 2 wideband O2 sensors.

Or I might just install a dual EGT gauge like this:

edit:
background info: MR-2 turbos were prone to busting ring lands on the #3 piston. It was suspected that a combo of things cause this. Reduced coolant flow in the head, uneven flow from the intake manifold and unbalanced fuel flow to the injectors. On my WRX it was noted that the fuel pressure at the last fuel injector (injectors are plumbed in-line for the flat-4) was 6psi less than the first one. Just some examples of imbalance between cylinders in air, fuel and or cooling. All of which could lead to blowing an motor while the bulk EGT and/or AFR looks safe.
