Mazdaspeed Exhausts

I was looking on the Mazda site at the Exhausts and was curious as to the difference of the 2 Mazda Speed Exhausts :
Muffler

Sport

I know the sport has a split muffler instead of single, but is what are the other differences, and maybe differences in performance/sound ?

The muffler is the old design and is quieter. The sport is the newer design and is louder.

I dont think is old and new design, more like JDM and USDM where

** In regards to the made of the USDM muffler I am not 100% sure so if is not made by that company then some1 pls correct me **

JDM = Mazdaspeed Japan's muffler and is still there current muffler. (just like the front struct brace, JDM real Mazdaspped is 4 point aluminium struct compare to USDM dont know who made 2 point possibly carbon fibre layered only thick 2 point struct brace)

USDM = I think is Borla made muffler.

I have the JDM one, sounds great - idle like a rotary.. little bit bubbly.. much deeper idle note... when u rev it.. sounds like a race engine.. high pitch rotary sound, mid range feels better from my butt dyno. But beware the finish quality is NOT polished like most aftermarket exhaust.

USDM sounds great nfi about the gain, u can youtube this.

Of course they would also promote the USDM one as I would probably imagine they make much more money from selling that as they probably have contracted Borla to make this for them.. instead of importing from Japan where they are just selling the product.

no, there is an old and new design for USDM as well.

I dont know if there are two version of USDM Mazdaspeed, but the one he linked is definitely JDM and USDM where the single muffler is the JDM one.

Hmmm....So do you have single of dual muffler MS ?

As i said in my first reply =p

"I have the JDM one, sounds great - idle like a rotary.. little bit bubbly.. much deeper idle note... when u rev it.. sounds like a race engine.. high pitch rotary sound, mid range feels better from my butt dyno. But beware the finish quality is NOT polished like most aftermarket exhaust."

Honestly.. if u want a mean sounding exhaust dont get the JDM one, get the USDM one. The JDM is quiet and not droning at all at cruising speed, even u rev it.. it sounds what i describe graceful, smooth, but u definitely know something is revving.

Another note is the size of the tip, purely personaly opinions I hate huge ass looking tip with OUR bumper design.. for me it looks ricey.. considering the amount of exhaust required to flow our engine... i dont think big size tip matches our car.. specially when is a twin tip.. to me is like civic 1.6 with a 5" tip wtf ?! .. where as i think rx7 with a single N1 cannon type exhaust looks racey though...

The Sport MS exhaust is a ripoff of the Hymee exhausts.
