Mazdaspeed Exhaust Differences

I'm looking at getting the Mazdaspeed exhaust. I see two variants; one that you can order from Japan, Part # MZS41414320001. Photo looks different from the Part number # GRMS-8M-K06 which is out of stock. Does anyone know the difference? I heard these are light weight compare to the Racingbeat therefore, looking to get a little more sound and gains without adding weight.

Let me know if you have any info on these.

Thanks,

The first one isn't a Mazda part number. I'd also be a little surprised if any new Mazdaspeed gear for the 8 is still in stock anywhere.

And also also, be careful if you have an S2. The GRSM-8M-K06 will need to be modified to fit. The tips sit differently.

I just picked up GRSM-8M-K06. I have a S1, 07, so I was sure it was a simple clamp install but turns out its reverse. We had to weld a custom pc to the midpipe so that it would connect properly. Overall, install went smooth. I'm noticing that the right exhaust sticks out further than the left. I'm not sure if it shifted after install but most likely need to get it checked. photos to follow soon. Thanks,

Nice! I have the same one. Having to weld something in is unusual. The kit included the midpipe and the muffler?

no did not include midpipe, just muffler. i has to
weld the midpipe to the muffler.

went to double check that the hangers were all put on right, some reason the right exhaust sticks out 1 inch out more... he asked if he wanted to cut the right exhaust pipe to shorten it but i think i’ll try to live with it.. anyone have any ideas how to fix?

Don't cut the pipe, bend or move the hanger instead. On both sides until it's even.

Racing beat dual res midpipe

Will this bolt up to the racing beat dual res midpipe? The welding you mention turns me off
