will it void warrenty?
any chance of water issues with bad weather or is it safe where it is?
throw codes?
filter accesable without removing the front bumper?

thanks!

im looking for a cai but dont want to worry about water ( need something more free flowing then the revi intake) so thats out of the question

100% of your warranty will be voided. Dealerships won't even look at your car.

Nope this thing is like a water vacuum, any puddle deeper than 0.01 inches and your motor is toast!

It throws 9 codes.

You have to remove the front AND rear bumpers in order to access the filter.

You've been here for two years, you should know how to search.

Warning for Troll Answer issued.

I've had the Mazdaspeed CAI for about 3 years now. Water has never been a problem, but I do slip a trash bag over the filter before washing the car, and remove it after drying-off. Never thrown a code.

You can just barely replace the filters without pulling the nose. It's a pain, but possible. Use the sock pre-filter to extend the life of the filter element itself. It's washable, so should last quite a while.

The Mazdaspeed CAI won't void your warranty. My local dealer has no problem with genuine Mazdaspeed parts, but the MS parts themselves have different levels of warranty.

Love the sound. Throaty but not too loud. The CAI also makes getting to the coils a helluva lot easier, IMO.

Good luck!

You will find lots of threads that talk about all of these things. Just search MS CAI or AEM CAI. both are identical. I have ms (hacked up for my car ;) but ms non the less). I live in Tampa, FL where it will rain beyond visibility and I have never had issues with water.
