Light Weight Flywheel in Winter?

Anyone have a light weight flywheel on your RX-8 and also drive the car in the snow and ice?

Are the drivability issues of a super light flywheel amplified in slippery conditions? I am using winter tires but it's still hard to get moving without spinning on ice with the stock flywheel. Should I avoid the 9 pound flywheels? What about the Racing Beat 12 pound flywheel?

Thanks in advance for any advice !!

I have had an SR Motorsports 9lb flywheel for 2 winters in Northern Jersey with no problems at all.

I have the same flywheel and can attest that the weight of the fly isn't an issue. Proper tires matter much more.
