I was wondering if anyone has made a lid for a K&N intake or blocked the engine bay of with foam insulation?? Do you think it will make a difference sucking cold air??

Yep, I did a bit of 'hillybilly engineering'...cut a piece of sheet metal, then duct-taped it over the K&N housing. After that I sealed the housing with duct tape, so the only place it could suck air from would be the inlet duct. Unknown whether or not this helped performance.
I did this for noise abatement. It did help, but it was still way loud. So, I've since swapped it for the REVi, which I am much happier with.

Please excuse my JDM taste but RE Amemiya has a K&N filter in a carbon fox with a RAM intake attached at the front where the VFAD is...

That is insane!!!! I just want to try to get cold air rather than hot air from the motor.
