Installed stock spoiler by myself!

So Renesis04 was selling his stock spoiler because he picked up a CF Mazda Speed Spoiler, so I decided to pick it up from him since we are local and I got my exhaust from him and we have the same color cars. I was scared to install it because I had no template or anything, but I was able to do it myself, I think it looks stock. What do you guys think, here are the pictures!

Did do take any precautions to rust protect the holes after you drilled them? I've seen peoples trunk lids rust out because the holes were drilled and left alone without any rust protection leaving bare metal on the edges. If so what did you use as I'd rather put in a spoiler myself than pay someone $100 to drill 2 holes.

Hmm, I don't think I did any rust protection, on the spoiler there are some rubber "bumpers" I guess you can say so it doesn't touch metal to metal if that's what you were saying.

Good Job!!

Quite a good feeling to have installed it yourself, huh? I did mine a while back as well. Plus I had a peanut gallery (my wife) making unsure fidgiting noises and grimicing(sp?)...

Mine wasn't too bad. It's a tiny bit uneaven, but only about 1/8" or less. Though..., if you take off one of the washers you see that the hole isn't roung, or even oval, it's more worm shaped. hahaha, uhm, oops. :o

I never even thought about that. As soon as it stops raining I'm going to have to pop it off and use the touchup paint on teh edges.

How are the holes going to rust, the trunk is aluminum?
