I'm new to this club...
so... wanna ask U guys bout something...
wut R those M,L and K flashes?..
I mean.. wut's da difference between those flashes?..
and... how can I find out that I hab M, L or K?

m ,l, k flashes are what mazda is doing to there rx8 to make them work better. This includes flooding issues and gas mileage i know if you have the l or m flashes your oil guage needle will move just turn your key ignition to on and tap your brake about 15 times if you see it move bingo! you got l or m iam NOT pretty sure it will not work if you have the k flash anyways these things been talk about alot just go to the top were is says search type in what your looking for and you will get a list because people here can be realllll asses and WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!

In the Tech Garage forum section (Mazda dealer ECU flashes are hardly aftermarket, now are they?), there is a sticky thread called ECU/PCM "M-flash" Info/questions that answers all your questions. It's the second sticky thread at the top of that forum section, kind of hard to miss (even without doing a search).

I think I'm getting an 8 around Jan of nxt yr
well.... so.. I just wanted to kno wut I'm going to get...

Assuming nothing else changes, you'll have the latest "M" flash. If they release new flashes, you'll have them... whatever is current, they put on the production cars. So, you don't really need to worry about it until you get yours. It's not until AFTER you get your '8 that you need to worry.

haha.. I use2 live in PaloAlto..
not East PA....
well...I'm in Korea now..since third quarter of last yr...
prob going back Jan of nxt yr....
and.. as soon as I go back, I'll get an 8 :D !!!
