Claims of 10 to 20 hp from this i think is believable as 15 from a damn intake.Did you watch the video?Thats a fire log he blew across the floor.

I made about two pages of engineering calculations about two years ago, and to get a very small amount of boost (about 0.2 bar) at low revs on a 2.6 l engine, the minimum electrical power requirement was about 3 kW. And I think this e-ram electrical power is only a few hondreds watts at most. I think it's based on small fans that power very small remote controlled planes basically.

Also, Visteon UK evaluated an electric supercharger from a major Tier 1 supplier. It worked fine to give a bit of welcome boost at low revs on small / medium sized engines (small / medium size for Europe, so think 1.6 to 2.3 l), but only with a full 42 Volts electric system (the new standard manufacturers keep postponing for $$$ reasons probably). The little electric bugger sucks so much electrical power that a standard 12 Volts battery/alternator system cannot keep up with it.

Still these electric superchargers could become available in a few years time for aftermarket applications. It would be quite easy to fit and give us a bit more torque at low RPMs.

Executive summary : E-RAM is complete utter bollocks. Wait a few years for the real thing.

I actually posted in that thread.I thought it was for the 3k electric supercharger.I jumped into that thread half way.That is the problem whe you get threads 150 post long.I always wanted to know whats wrong with starting new threads?I frequent many other forums and not one jump on people with the "use the search button dumbass"

just this one, search nazis ;) the website even says it dosen't work on all cars.. that would have been cool though.
