HKS F-CON V Pro Version
 

Has anyone tried to used this before? I don't know too much in this area of engine mgmt. so please bear with me.

I know some ppl got the Greddy emanage to work but is there any advantages for having this HKS version versus the Greddy? It says it supports piggybacking also, but again, not sure if the technical details behind most of this stuff.

HKS F-Con V pro is the hardest Engine Managment to Tuned. It Require only a Certified HKS Pro Dealer to Tune it only.

A local distributor and tuner of the F-CON told me its really not worth the money on a 8 coz its only a meagre 10 max 15HP u wil get. However, it does support almost anything unlike others.

Agree with ypwpat on the complexity of this management unit, the local tuner had a stint in HKS factory Japan for 2 years before starting modifying here in Singapore.

I've heard the same thing about the F-CON V. It's insanely hard to tune; I hear there are too many options you have to scroll through, just to get to one. I don't know why HKS makes these things so unusable. I guess ergonomics wasn't part of the deal. :mad:

There are much easier tuning devices. :)

well you don't have to get the F-CON V pro. You can get the easier version F-Con S :)

thanks for the feedback, its almost impossible to find any information on this unit, even for Google, so it must be tough unit.

A friend in LA knows an HKS tuner, I posted in his car team's site about another option, this is the one he pointed out.

But, in the end, it will work as good as the eManage and the CZ unit right?

The F-CON has just about the same functions as the others you mentioned. It's all in how you tune it. Not one of these is better than the other, in function. In ergonomics, I would place the F-CON last.

Everything always comes back to MATLAB.. :)

I looked at it and the program appears to be some type of advanced data modeling or something...

Well, anyhoo, SCC did a report on the F-CON, when they were working on their project 300ZXTT. They didn't like the fact of changing their original F-CON for the F-CON V. Oh well to each his/her own. :p
