Greddy SP2 Question

im thinking of purchasing a used Greddy SP2 catback and noticed the tips look larger than the opening on the stock rx8 bumper? does it have any fitment issues or does this exhaust only work on modified bumpers? will it melt the stock plastic where the OEM tips poke out?

also any personal opinions on this exhaust would be greatly appreciated.
The only performance mod i have is the BHR midpipe and coils.

thanks

I have one. No bumper mods needed to install it. In ~30k miles, no melting either, but I wouldn't be surprised if that happened with FI or track sessions. Running catless may be risky that way too.

It's louder than RB, but very reasonable with a stock cat-midpipe. An unresonated midpipe, even with a cat, is brutally loud with the SP-2.

Soot inside the tips is quite noticeable, so you're stuck with cleaning them out (paper towels + liquid wrench) to keep them looking presentable.

Even with ny 30k miles of 10psi nothing has melted. With a nice resonator on the straightpipe it sounds nice. With a turbo its quiet.

Ive had an SP2 for about 30K miles. No heat issues, nice sound not too loud.
