greddy air diversion plates

i saw these on a few diff websites anyone try em out to see if they had any affect on cooling they seem like they would def help with oil cooler and radiator efficiency. i wonder if they are worth like 53 bux

your car already has one, it is just made out of plastic. I have a diverter panel from Greddy. It is a nice appearance upgrade.

yeah isnt it anodized blue? can you take pics of it on your car please arrow?

Silverarrow 09-14-2005 01:25 AM

mine is plain aluminum, i don't think it is anodized, but i have a pre-production version (no greddy insignia)

LINK?

are we talking about the plastic shrowd under the radiator?

Silverarrow 09-15-2005 01:02 AM

no, when you open your hood immediately behind the bumper there is a dark gray plastic panel, the greddy replaces that with an aluminum plate (2 pieces actually)

ohh the plastic part around the hood latch area. the one in the RX8 seems pretty good. I know in my miata there was a huge gap, so I bought some sheet aluminium and cut my own peice and it looked good, put some stickers on it...helped out a little bit...about 10*F drop in temps at speed.

the more air you can get thru the radiator the better......i would first see if there are any gaps to fill around the radiaor and put some weather striping in there, althouhg i think this car has a pretty good setup already.
