Good Muffler for RX8?

I am looking at getting a Flowmaster Super 44 Series muffler for my car. would this be a good choice? I am only looking at getting a new muffler, not a whole new exhaust system

It would be better if you get the whole exhaust system, but whatever drifts you.

No.

They will not withstand the heat.

Funny,
When I had my 87 NA, I called Flowmaster to see what they said regarding an exhaust system for the rex. The Tech Support guy told me straight up that Flowmasters will work for the first couple of months, then after that they will start to melt from the inside. He recommended racing beat. For that I took his advice, but now I respect flowmaster even more for their straightforwardness.

I've heard of Flowmaster telling others the same thing. Not to sound harsh, but $100 won't get you much of anything worthwhile for an 8 short of spark plugs or wires.

Search around the site. There are numerous exhaust threads. What is best has been beaten to death, and many custom muffler setups have been done and discussed.
