Effects of adding a lighter flywheel to an underdriven 8?

If I add a lighter flywheel to my 8, which has an Agency Power Underdrive pulley on it--will it affect the longevity of the engine-life? Daily drive-ability?

no.

The one has little to no effect on the other. I've been driving on a MS LW Flywheel for 5 yrs.

Cool cool, just figured I'd ask before I made the move. How do you like the MS LW Flywheel?

Both minor mods (performance wise) and no they dont affect drivability . Maybe a few extra revs required at takeoff with the LWFW .
I really only noticed a small difference in 1st and 2nd (to a lesser extent) with the FW .

I thought it made a really noticeable difference. It really helps with standing pull offs....

I had the most % underdriven pulley and an act prolite flywheel.

I don't see how the underdrive pulley matters to anything other than voltage generated and maybe water temp.

Kersh4w. Do you think the LWFW was worth it?

there is a gain, and it is noticeable in the first 3 gears. after that there isn't much gain.

the gain is not going to win you races or anything, but it makes the far more fun to drive. I'd say it's somewhat similar to adding a short throw shifter to the car.

Do it if you have money to burn. If not, wait till your stuff stuff is toast and then do it.

do it when changing a clutch, but make sure you have either planned in advance or change the clutch before it fails. cos if it goes on you, you wont want to wait around for a flywheel to arrive!

Mind you I didn't wait to get the flywheel, I just did it, and I really liked it.
