dvd boost gauge
 

hey,
i was just thinking the other day that it would be cool to make a program that turned the dvd screen into a boost gauge/oil pressure/ whatever gauge u wanted. so i was just wondering if anyone else has come up with this or if its even possible. just something to think about.

I don't think there is a program that does that, but I know Greddy has something similar.... I think it is the Profec E-01.

It is a boost controller, but I think it monitors some vitals too.

it's possible. most people who currently use the navi screen have a video input spliced into the display, and run a carputer. hymee's stuff displays most of the built in sensors. If you wanted others, I'm sure there's a way - though I haven't done anything like that.

There is an old MazdaSpeed picture of the DVD screen turned into an oil pressure and oil temp meter. It is in the Multimedia/Photo Gallery forum. Not many people know much about it besides that this car (presumably in Japan) did something like this.
