Cold Air Intake and Exhaust Interest?
 
How would you guys like a high quality stainless exhaust system, and a high-quality aluminum CAI for an unbeatable price?

I'm going to be honest here and this is in no way a shot against you so don't take it that way. I really do think you guys do some very nice work and your turbo kits seems excellent but we've already got a saturated market when it comes to intakes and exhausts. As it is, they don't do a whole lot anyways. Stainless would be nice but the market isn't terribly big considering the number of exhausts out there right now. As far as the intake side goes, Racing Beat is going to come to market with probably the nicest unit. From a business standpoint I really don't see the point in you guys spending the time and money to build something that we already have alot of. Keep working on different turbo systems. That's where the money is going to be for you. Get a system designed for the automatic cars and then just work on other projects that no one else has right now. A nice new aluminum upper intake manifold would be a welcome sight. Play with this area and see what kind of benefits you can get. You guys can do some very nice work but I honestly don't see you guys justifying the time and effort on intake and exhaust systems with the potential sales that you'll get. We've already got a huge selection. Like I said, this isn't a criticism. I'm just speaking from an investment standpoint.

There are about a million exhausts out already which seem to be pretty good...unless yours has something to differentiate it from the rest I wouldn't waste my time there.

The intake now is a different story, but it needs to be provably good. K&N is still paying for the bad publicity generated by their half-assed design job on the Typhoon. Very few of the other intakes appear to offer much more than noise and maybe a bit of top end power if you're lucky. There's a lot of people waiting on the Racing Beat intake, but since its really not out yet its impossible to say for sure that it will be significantly better. If you CAN do better, than by all means do it and you'll have a lot of customers. I don't know how excited I am about the use of aluminum though, for heat purposes...it will all depend on the design.

I agree with the people that posted on here. We respect your company & just don't want to see you waste needless hours & $$$ only to find few takers. You said on your website you were looking at doing an SC system for the RX8. I think you would find a lot more interest there if you can come out with a unit that gives good gains (50-60 hp seems like the going #) & a good price (less than $4000-$5000).
