Canzoomer or Revi Intake?

So here we go...

I already have the Canzoomer and knowing that the RX8 has a decent CAI already, I thought of going and start tuning the car...

I even went and bought the HYmee ScanAlyser... excellent BTW...

But, I know I don't have time to tune my car now and in the near future... so I am undecided between the CZ unit and the Revi Intake....

Of course if I go with the intake I'll sell the CZ unit and the sCANlyser to recoup my costs...

What would you guys do?

BTW, I just got the PCM reflashed to the R revision.

So What would you do?
TIA

Carlos

The canzoomer would give you a bit more power, but for the most part only in the upper rpms. Whereas the revi seems you to give you a little more hp everywhere.

If you don't have time to tune, I wouldn't recommend you getting the cz and just go for the revi. You won't see significant gains unless you spend a good amount of time on the cz.
The revi seems to increase mileage too for everyone that has it already especially with the ram air duct, which gives you more for your buck. So I think in your situation the revi would be a better buy.

Thanks ZOOM-ZOOM....

I pretty much knew this was the case. I just wanted some reinforcement. In my previous Turbo Miata I did all the tuning myself with the Flying Miata ECU....but it seems that I was "always tuning"... :) :)

This time, although I already have the CZ unit as well as the Data Acquisition unit (sCANalyser), I want to spend more time enjoying the car than tuning...

Guess the CZ and sCANalyiser will soon be up for sale... :) :)

Thanks
Carlos

How much ? I might be interested - and local as well ;)

I will post the sale on the for sale section where it belongs.

Going back to my original question, any other comments here?

Thanks

Carlos

I would say your crazy for trading 15-20+hp for 1-5hp and losing money in the process... oh well, i guess the grass is always greener on the otherside

I would tell you just keep the CZ unit. Why waste money ? Later on you can spend a few hours and tune the thing. Save up other money and get the REVi air intake & Ram Air Duct. Don't waste money buying & selling stuff. Take it from the King of Buying Dumb Shit. Just keep the money & use it later when you got the other stuff (maybe hi-flow cat., cat back exhaust, etc.).

As usual, the man with a few wisdom words. :) :) I'll let this sleep tonight and see what happens. I know how to tune the cars... it's just that with the family now, especially new baby, it is a bit hard to find time to do this.

You guys are right... I am never below 5500 RPM anyways...

Good points. I might keep it. We'll see.

THANKS!
Carlos
