can't install my HKS exhaust
 

for anyone who has this exhaust, Is the tip supposed to come in the smaller box?

so i finally got my HKS Hi-power exhaust yesterday. i was really excited at first. i opened up the box and took the 2 pipes out then took the small box out that was inside. the small box was a little dented up which kinda worried me cause i was expecting the Titanium tip to be in there. to my surprise there was no tip, only the instructions, hardware and a sticker. i then searched throughout the bigger box and still no tip.

i ordered it from Sam(Lazi), and him and Eric at Driveline are trying to help me out the best they can. hopefully they will be able to get HKS to send me a new tip otherwise i'm out all the money i spent. i found a pic on here of what it will do without that tip.

When I pulled mine out to instal my friends made a joke about the tip not being in there.

Kind of funny it actually happened to you.

Yeah, I wouldn't run without the tip, perhaps just get something custom fab'd in the mean time? You just gave me an idea!...

Tip should have come in the small box.

that's mine.. I think in the box came a smaller box with the tip in it.

i guess i have to play the waiting game now. Sam hasn't heard back from HKS yet.

Had you bought it from BHR and that happened, I would have forwarded you a new tip from my own inventory and dealt with HKS on my own. I had to do this with AutoMeter and it all worked out fine in the end for everybody.

i may have to suggest that solution. hopefully i will be doing some business with you soon Charles.

Charles if we had another HKS in our inventory, we would have shipped another one out for our customer. but since we dont, we have contacted HKS for another new Tip for our customer.

Nuke, i've contacted already with HKS and just awaiting some info from them. we will get you a new tip asap!

awesome can't wait, so i can put it on finally.

I ordered my exhaust (just got it today) from Sam too and the tip is missing . Until I get the tip I am running the exhaust with the exhaust shroud removed so the exhaust does not burn the shroud. The exhaust sounds great.

hmm, whats going on with HKS? was yours the same as mine with the small box just having instructions/hardware?

No clue lol, but I think we are the only 2 with missing tips.

check your mail delivery guys truck..he may have jacked it from you and installed it..haha

we've been in contact with HKS and they will be directly sending both tips to you guys. its weird how this happened for both my customers with similar situations. but it will be all taken care of =)

got the tracking number for the new tip. i'll post pics once i have it and put it on.

i know this isn't a funny situation, but I would laugh my ass off if the box that you get is another exhaust without a tip.

they aren't sending another exhaust. HKS is sending a new tip directly to me 2nd day air.

the tip will be delivered tomorrow. thanks for getting this taken care of Sam.

ooo pretty. i love the sound of the hks hipower, i just wish it was a dual tip.
