bought accessport still in box but not sure if its worth it?

I have an rx-8 with an agency power catback and recently purchased the cobb accessport. I dont have MM ap cause i didnt research where to buy it from so i have one with just the stock map. I bought my rx-8 with the exhaust and i feel like the exhaust drops the torch on the car alot cause i think because its releaseing more than its using? this specific catback allows me to spit flames when i rev it high as you guys would probably know but am i wrong on this?
i researched more for this but i specifically cant find my answers
what i got from my research on this forum is that the stock map on the cobb accessport map should be fine for my rx-8 cause it only has the catback but,,,

my questions is if i install the stock cobb AP map will it give me noticably more torch and 2nd will it prevent my car from spittin flames ? cause i think the flames are pretty bad ass lol

I dont think a catback would LOWER your TORQUE. Not really sure how the cobb AP map is configured so i cant say anything. But if it LEANS out your AFR then it might decrease the flames. Or you might spit blue fire due to more oxygen i dont know lol. If you can somehow get the MM AP then i would suggest getting that instead.

yea i apologize for obviously not knowing how to spell but if its not that exhaust.. why does it feel like a toyota sentra can beat me off a line with the kind of torque im running... ill tell it this way, i can floor it on first and my car pipes will scream loud but itll look like im cruising for the first coupe of seconds

Well, catback or not the rx8 never really had any torque. The cobb accessport base maps from cobb aren't going to do much for you. If you the best tunes available, subscribe to mm's services. You aren't going to feel much difference with any maps in torque. The point is to get a better running car, and it just so happens a couple of hps are included in it. Don't expect a dramatic change with power.

gotta give it a second for the turbos to kick in dude. The turbos kick in later, that's why it's a lot faster in higher RPMs.

With your AccessPort, you have a couple of options. You can go to a Cobb Tuner, which you can find on their web site, and get a custom tune for your car. Or you can download the tuning software, which is in beta at the moment, and tune it your self. Just remember that there is a risk in tuning a car beyond the manufactures tune. Read/Study up on how to tune a car before attempting this route.

With the Cobb Stage 1 map, I gained somewhere around 4-5 ft-lb at the wheels (and 10 hp).

Gotham Racing (Steve Kahn) have also posted that they do custom access port tunes. GothamRacing.com is the website, I believe.
