Cantonese

Chantage 02-15-2004 03:44 PM

It is "Japanese" and "Chinese"; and people in Hong Kong speak Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese dialects).

Rotarian_SC 02-15-2004 04:20 PM

i assume they write in Chinese mostly, right?

takahashi 02-15-2004 04:43 PM

It is still coming out in Japan... looks like the picture is in Japan... find me a Blitz building in HK... if you are lucky you may only find the mod shop in HK as a simple single garage

Blitz superchager is adv in Japan Option magazine with the Trust Turbo...

I would prefer the Blitz compressor - it says in the Feb issue (only an ad) that it is available in Japan this Spring.

Yes They dyno it and it gains about 50-60ps with significant torque boost.

Remaing question is: need ECU update..? Look like they did in this mag. Blitz ad said normal ECU compatable.

Oh I have one more question: need to change the exhaust..

I won't rush into it. I will do the exhaust first... (I think it will be still about 1-2 years from now~!!! :(

HK dollar is the local currency in Hong Kong. It is actually "locked" at 7.78 HK$ to 1 US$. They do this for security of the currency and use the interesting rate b/n the banks to control this - this is how I was explained by my father.

If anyone can send it to me perheps I can translate this for you. Coz I was born and raise there...

Good grief, Hong Kong is part of China! Of course the written and spoken language is Chinese!

Though most people there also speak English, since Hong Kong was once a British colony.

guy321 02-15-2004 07:21 PM

That article is written in traditional Chinese... There is no Japanese in it.. Although a large subset of the Japanese language consists of Kanji which are tradititional Chinese charachters.. Mainland china mostly writes with Simplified chinese.

Too bad I never learned to read.. I can speak Cantonese.. if someone has a Cantonese friend they could probably translate it.. I could get someone in my family to translate it if I could get a more ledgible copy.

Yeah actually they don't really speak Chinese but a mixture if according to the other posts on this forum.

x28 02-15-2004 08:14 PM

hihi, I want to read teh article myself, but then the words on the article is way way too vague for me to read. This car is in Hong Kong for sure, my freind is the producer of this magazine. He sent me the articles through e-mail, but I CAN'T read the stupid font. If someone can clear it up, i can read it. But for the different ECU, I think they used a piggy back. I am sorry, I treid to read it...

x28 02-15-2004 08:17 PM

takahashi you are from Hong Kong? Me too, where do you live in HK? You still go back to HK every once in awhile?

I will ask ym freind to send me a hard copy of the magazine... I super want to read it.

x28 02-15-2004 08:19 PM

hold on, this might not be in HK... casue there is no BLitz building in HK... I will try to find out for you guys

About what language or about getting it translated? I guess I should have thought about it more, because I'm well aware that HK now belongs to the Chinese again. About the translation I'm serious. I have four people at work that speak fluent Chinese (I think Cantonese, but I'm not sure) and one Japanese.

Japan8 02-15-2004 08:24 PM

I'll tell you guys what. I'll try to remember to pick up a copy of "Options" while I'm out and see if it is the issue with the Blitz kit in it. If so, I'll post info from it...

x28 02-15-2004 08:50 PM

Man I am Chiense too, its traditional Chinese. I can't read the article cause the fonts are so hard to read. I would love to translate it for you guys, ITS NOT THE JAPANESE OPTIONS!! Its Hong Kong version, called "Option Fans". Its totally different then Japan's.

Hong Kong speaks Cantonese (traidtional font Chiense)
China speaks Mandarin (Simplified Chinese)
