Billion Super Racing Air Funnel & Piping

Billion Super Racing Air Funnel & Piping
Looking at air funnel and piping gave me some interesting ideals.
1. What do you think about funneling air over the engine bay?
Obviously, another air filter would be needed to prevent dust.
Not sure what would be the best way to do, so open to ideas by people that think the idea is feasible.
2. What about using the Billion air funnel and piping as a cheap Cold Air Duct?
This could be setup something like the Odula CAI, but with a wider mouth and can be placed to totally avoid a front license plate.
However, the inside of the duct piping is not smooth, so wondering it that will or will not negatively effect air flow?

For about $40 more than that cheap dryer duct and funny looking intake cone you could have the Racing Beat ram air.
It's made to fit to the front of the car and you can use your dryer duct to connect it to the stock intake box.
