BHR Ignition & HKS TWIN
Has anyone had any experience running the BHR Ignition System with the HKS Twin Power? Is it compatable, recommended, and has it produced any significant results? I'm dying to know!!

In the words of Ray Hill:
You can run it but even HKS will tell you that there's no extra benefit to using it. |

He is saying that using the two together provides no benefit. That leaves running with the BHR ignition or the stock coils and the HKS. Since some people have been having problems with the stock coils going bad, it would make sense to just run the BHR ignition.

I ran it for a little while. Didn't have any problems, but was told by HKS that it wasn't necessary with the upgraded ignition. The twin power amps up the voltage to help the spark, but it doesn't help prolong the life of the stock coils. The BHR coils will last pretty much the life of the car.

ive had both now im selling the hks dirt cheap
the bhr coils have its own capacitor the hks are a capacitor so the bhr coils nulify the hks however the hks does help the oem coil but they will burn out in 10-15k miles and dont use them on the okada plasma coils or theyll explode first start. |
Holy crap! Definitely don't want any exploding going on around that region.

1 Attachment(s)
attached is a pdf of my email back in 2007
inside of that pdf you can open the attachments and see the melted coil basically the coils look like oem with nice branding on them it was so not worth the $750 for them. -tear- i didnt notice any difference using them (with or without the dli2) and they lasted between first startup and 2,500 kms |
Ohhh snaps..........I have a friend who had the same thing happen to his okada coils sucks they are overpriced and seem to be crappy.

Pretty sure that I'm just going to stick with the BHR for now. Atleast after I pick up my new rotors.
