Ap or Emanage
 

I just currently bought a greddy turbo kit, and i am really looking forward to get the 8 tuned. But right now I'm debating ether to sell the emanage right away, and get a accessport, or to keep the piggyback. From what i have heard, the emanage does not allow your ecu to think, but the accessport is more flexable on your stock ecu. I just want to see what are you guy's opinons, which one is better?

The emanage just intercepts engine sensor infomation and then relays that information to the PCM to make it do certain things. The primary issue is the transition into boost isn't as smooth as it would be for the AP and there's a host of features beyond just fuel and ignition timing that the emanage cannot control.

Plus, since the emanage is used on various other platforms you shouldn't have a problem selling it.

The AP more or less allows complete control over any object that the PCM can control. This means eliminating check engine lights, changing fan turn on temperatures, idle speed, rev limiter, and other stuff like oil metering injection which is a big one.

Fuel tables and ignition timing are also controlled in both open and closed loop. The PCM will still trim your fuel if necessary bit that's fixed with a proper MAF calibration.

The only flaw, if you call it that, is that the AP cannot be tuned in real time like the emanage can. However, using data logs you can obtain calibrations via email without having to hire a local tuner.

The best part is you can easily revert back to stock without having to splice any wires or hood up any extra equipment. As far as anyone knows you'll have stock programming.
