Looking for feedback from people who have welded in a bhr resonator

I bought an Agency Power midpipe a while ago and from the start it didn't sound the best. I read that from everyone on the forums before purchasing it but didn't think it would be too bad, I was wrong.

I am just looking for others who have bought this midpipe and replaced the rear resonator with the bhr unit. Even if you bought another dual resonator midpipe and did the same I would be interested in the outcome. Was there a huge change in the tone/sound specifically around 3k-4.5k rpm or was it not as noticeable as you would have liked? I plan on leaving the front AP resonator in place, so if you did the same please say so.

I did find some posts about this when searching but a vast majority are just "weld in a bhr resonator, it will sound better". The only post I found that matches what I want exactly is https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aft...roblem-231653/ but he got some bad work done and had even more problems. I am just looking for a bit more specific answer about the AP midpipe while keeping one of its resonators since replacing both resonators like he did sounds like a bad plan.

Was hoping for at least one response but that's okay. I purchased the resonator anyway and will be welding it in within a few weeks and will post the results. That way maybe someone else can see this and get an answer if they need it later on.

You're over thinking this... it's a piece of pipe. What you are trying to do will work exactly like you want, just make sure whoever is doing the work knows what the hell they're doing. Also I'm pretty sure this is the same resonator but with a little section of pipe welded on the ends already to make the job easier, and it's like 100 bucks cheaper. www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-94051

Not over thinking, I was just curious about the difference it would make in an exhaust with a resonator that is making the sound worse already. I know it will quiet it down but I wasn't sure which resonator would win and have its sound be the main thing you hear.

It certainly could be the same, the description sounds about right. Without being able to look at the actual resonator I can't compare the quality but I do see posts out there saying it was pretty thin walled.

I may consider just removing both resonators and welding a straight pipe in place of one of them. I just really didn't want to get this crazy on the midpipe but I probably should have bought a more quality product in the first place. This thing is ending up costing almost as much as just buying a good midpipe after adding everything to it.
