It is stiffer. You trade leverage for throw. Rules of Physics, I can't beat it.

Get the shifter! It's great. Do NOT put a MOMO **** on it! The **** amplifies the gearbox sounds. Right now, mine sounds like me olde TR3.

Talk about great service...
So I track my car a lot, do autocrosses, and I've tried this thing on another Forum member's car at VIR. I figure maybe it's time to get one.

So I send the money on Wednesday. Don't hear anything back. Thursday I don't hear anything. Today I'm thinking I ought to drop AxialFlow a message if I don't get a confirmation back...

I get home, check the mail, and there's my confirmation: The shifter was in my mailbox!

I'll get to install it before the MAX 31 Mazda club autocross on Sunday.

Shift **** preference with AFS?
Do you guys have any preference or advice on which shift **** you install along with AFS that works/feels well?

We like the stock ****, others have issues. Not always but sometimes. safer to stick to stock.

alright, i threw some money your way in hopes that there was one left.

i'll keep my fingers crossed.

if there is, next weekend will be short shifter install/MT90 change/75W90 change/HKS hi power exhaust install/RTV and gasket update

thats what i first thought, but nah, it wasnt you. i had overfilled my tranny by nearly a quart. (filled it when it still jacked up.) i opened the fill plug and put it back down and a lot drained out yesterday.

shifting is a dream.

i installed this today, and it's a dream. only took me about 30 minutes to put it in.

definitely a great mod.

tomorrow i'm going to change gear oil and transmission fluid to compliment my new mod.

let me help you out on that.

jack up car, place jackstand under it.
place oil catch drum underneath transmission
use 1" or 25mm socket wrench to remove drain plug
lower car, let all fluid drain out.
jack car back up, place jack stand under car
replace drain plug, remove fill plug using a 1" or 24mm socket wrench
use a funnel and a long tube to fill transmission
put in 2 quarts of redline mt-90
lower car back down and let the excess .2l drain out
jack car back up, place jack stand under car
replace the fill plug
lower car back down

and you're done!

I paired my AFE with a Mazdaspeed Urethane shift ****. Absolute bliss.

The bliss is interrupted by synchros grinding in between random shifts.. I fear my tranny is going soon.
