Isn't that a complete kit? I dont think you need anything more then. Gauges and stuff..but i dont think thats what you're talking about. Maybe ignition upgrade depending on your power goals..

Look at the list of things it comes with... if you still aren't sure, you might want to learn a bit more about turbo-charging before buying anything. Lots of great threads dedicated to the subject on this site...

That being said, it is a very complete kit. I consider proper gauges a mandatory addition when doing any kind of major upgrade like this, and those aren't included. Another thing that would be good to have is a boost controller (or does the Int-X double as that as well?). But none of that is required to "not blow up" your engine, although the gauges might tell if you you're about to blow it up :)

Its a flawed question... the surest way to NOT blow up the engine would be to NOT mess with it at all.
The more boost you run, the higher risk you run.
The less boost you run, the more money you wasted not using the kit to its full potential.

i want to get more hp....
so i talked with my mechanic and he said that i should think about a engine swap.
He means that the 13b from the rx7 with bi-turbo would be the best solution. with not much engine tuning we should get 400-450ps...
what do you think about it?

The 13B-REW swap is discussed every 6 hours on the forum. You can read about it until you are blue in the face. In fact, it's been done a few times. If you can get your mechanic to commit to a total price of components, fabrication, installation, tuning, and also a delivery date and performance level go ahead. Then again, if you are worried about blowing your engine on just a turbo kit, an engine swap is not really any less of a risk. Instead of heavily modifying an engine mated to the chassis and drivetrain by a team of engineers, you're going to have a guy put an engine in that doesn't even belong there with custom parts with not nearly as much design time to them.

Having said that, I'm in the roll the dice club. I just chose to do it with the Renny. From what I've seen, the people who wind up best in an engine swap scenario are the people who are able to do it themselves. I own the turbo kit you linked. It's among the most complete if not the most complete kit on the market, but that doesn't mean you aren't going to want a few thousand dollars worth of other things. Then again, some people are happy to run an aftermarket turbo kit without so much as a wideband O2 sensor. Including everything that most would think *should* also be employed would probably tack on a few grand to every kit out there.

Seriously, is there any particular reason you want more HP than is currently available from the base turbo kits for the renesis? I suggest you find somebody that has a turboed 8 making 300-340 HP and go for a drive in it... I really don't see why people want more unless it's just for bragging rights or all they want to do is run quarter miles all day long, and then I'd be puzzled as to why they bought an RX8 in the first place.

Also, once you get into the 400+ hp range you're going to have to start worrying about replacing drive-train components as well.

here is what you will need:

1. Ignition solution from either esmeril, mazsport or BHR
2. a good tune (around 300 bucks)
3. Boost Controller (300-500$)
4. AFR wideband (250-350$)
5. 3 inch midpipe with 3 inch exhaust system ( 500-800$)

you dont need the 3" exhaust. thats just extra.

you'd be MUCH better off getting good gauges, and paying someone to teach you the basics in person/hands on
