Alcohol injectors anyone?

How usefull would alcohol injectors be in the rotary, or even a turbocharged rotary?

I thought you were talking about Martinis:D

Are you converting your RX-8 to run on alcohol? Otherwise I don't think they would be useful at all.

New question: How many of you here know what "Alcohol injectors" are? LOL.

Here is what I know of them, if anyone is more informed about this please add more info:

From my understanding alcohol injectors are used in big turbo cars such as the supra or vr-4. The advantage to this is the alcohol will decrease the temp up to like 350-700 degrees (not sure), which allows them to boost more. With the rotary an already high temp. engine, what practical use would alcohol injectors have on a NA RENISIS or even a TURBO/SC RENISIS

EDIT: Alcohol is not used in place of gasoline. It is sprayed some where with the mixture of fuel and air, or someplace other than that, I'm not to sure.

Thanks for that explanation Tronic.

How about nitro injection, would this work on a rotatary? :)

Cheers

Nitrous works the same way on a rotary as it does in piston applications, if my understanding of the system is correct. What I've been told is that nitrous doesn't enter the combustion chamber at all. Instead it is used to drastically reduce the temperature in the intake manifold, which allows for a much denser mixture in the combustion chamber. But I could be completely wrong...
