Aftermarket exhausts are a bit too loud... but stock is a bit to soft.

I've spent hours searching, and listening to videos on youtube, and I have yet to find a way to increase the loudness of the RX8 only slightly. I'm looking to something (volume wise) similar to a G35 or even a tad louder. A full blown catback or muffler swap seems to be very loud, and isn't very professional for when I take it to the office, or have business partners in the car. (Nor do I want to attract too much attention from police when I want to have fun.)

Does anyone know of a muffler that has a marginal increase in sound, and is a bit more aggressive than stock? Or perhaps keep the stock exhaust, and perform another mod?

Thanks in advance!

Greddy Sp2. It's a cat-back exhaust system, but has a perfect exhaust note, not too loud, but a huge improvement over stock.

Mazdaspeed Exhaust or Racing Beat rev8.

On a side note, you could always use a silencer if the sound is too loud for your liking.

I love the TurboXS exhaust when paired to the OEM cat. It isn't too loud at all and it should have come from the factory with this setup. It's hard to describe but 4500 rpm with the TurboXS and OEM cat sounds like 8500 rpm with the stock exhaust.

Possible, but he should avoid the agency power midpipe and maybe try the racing beat or BHR one. I know with the AP midpipe and my stock exhaust it is LOUD. I know your midpipe sounds much better but a lot of people(including me) are enticed by the $200 price of the AP midpipe, it does mellow out with a aftermarket exhaust and sound cleaner.

I know there are lots of videos of the AP midpipe floating around but here is one I made earlier today to give him an idea of the loudness. This is with the stock exhaust.

I hear the Greddy spectrum elite is pretty quiet, obx with the oem midpipe is fairly subtle as well
