AEM CAI Vacuum Hoses (I have two)
Mazda installed my aem cai and i just noticed it only has two vaccum hoses attached to it...the third inlet is capped on the intake itself. AEM instructions call for all 3 hoses to be connected...any ideas why mazda may have done this? Stock air box had 3 vacuum hose inlets as well. 2009 R3

To avoid confusion, im not talking about the VFAD nipple that isnt used anymore. Its capped. =) I am talking about the 3 inlets on the aem tube itself...one is capped and only two hoses run to it.

i think it's different on the 09's with the filler neck...I could be wrong, but I imagine that mazda knows to connect the omp line and the jet air hose

I think the later model cars, I believe starting in 2006 had the oil filler tube connected to the 2 nipples on the LIM.
