advice on intake

im sure this will cause a flame thread....seems most questions do now and days. but what should i look for in a cold air intake. Are the all very similar and not much difference? i was looking the the kn typhoon intake 69-6030-1TFK, and i saw the carbon fiber intake. what ones better? or is there another one ive over looked all together.

AEM or find a Mazdaspeed intake.

The reason you're seeing so much flaming when questions are asked is because they've already been asked time and time again. Look at the bottom of the page. Three of the four "similar" threads are asking the same exact question. It was just asked 2 weeks ago, and 2 weeks before that.

If you're looking for a cold air intake, the k&n is not one. It pulls in hot air from the engine bay.

those two + mazdaspeed cai
You could also go with the revi duct on the stock intake.
btw, the stock intake is great and other intakes only give you 2-5hp

I know someone who's doing exactly that this weekend. Hmmm.

This pretty much sums it up.

If install a AEM intake do i have to remove the bumper?

fuztupnz 07-26-2011 10:43 AM

Yes, same with the Racing Beat duct.

Bumper is easy to remove.
