I think the doors closed image makes a more sophisticated statement but having them open gives a different perspective. If you are going for pure aesthetics though the doors closed is the better shot...

I spoke with MNAO about it directly and they say that as long as you are using 5x20 weight it doesn't matter. There were no problems I could think of going with full synth versus dino or blend.

I had mine fixed since I've been here in Portland and it was made of softer material... almost rubbery. I guess that makes it more flexible when it's cold. Shouldn't break now. :D:
