hey hey hey...lets not forget our friend the supercharger:)

since you are in florida, a trip to petitt racing may be beneficial.:)

jayfish 11-15-2007 12:33 AM

f that im not selling mine to get a manuel i like the typtronic just fine.

eviltwinkie 11-15-2007 10:41 AM

OHHH you have an AT?

Then your next mod should be to pull a tabaho...sell it and get a MT...

Thats the best way to "step up" the engine...heh

RXJei 11-15-2007 11:52 AM

I love how he cant get a straight answer, everyone just wants him to sell his car. lol. I think his 1st mod should be a KN or MS intake, I really dont like them but alot of people are getting the one sided exhaust by hks. havent picked one up yet but Im thinking of BORLA, cant decide yet trying to see what people say about them. It seems like everyone has HKS or Greddy.

Any one out there with a borla??? how do you like it?

I love how your giving incorrect information. He said "engine"...the 4AT comes with less power than the 6MT. The best bang for the buck is technically to get an MT.

The intake does nothing and if you do some quick searching you will find that when it comes to intakes...the best thing to do is to remove the panels (aka: baffles) and 1 screen from the stock air box. Drop in a K&N (I use Green) panel filter.

The exhaust does next to nothing as well.

We love poking fun at the AT fellows but its all just in fun. For any "tangible" increases...FI...and this applies to BOTH the MT as well as the AT.

Do a quick search for the borla and you'll find all sorts of reviews and links to audio clips.

yeah, the AT does come with less power than the MT. but I still dont think he's willing to sell his car.
Evil twinkie is getting all aggressive here. calm down man just giving the guys some input. IDK about YOU but I am trying to keep the car NA as long as possible. not just for financial reasons, but because i know I would let her rip every time I get an open road. and I had a couple of close encounters with my old car.

Kane 11-19-2007 09:09 AM

You can keep it NA if you want; and spend a bunch of $$$ to gain a wee bit of power and reduce a wee bit of parasitic loss - but if you are looking for power; you have to go FI - blame Mazda's good engineering.

If you want to stay NA - before any engine stuff; I would go with suspension and HPDE / track time.
