SWFL Mechanic
 

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. About a week ago my truck (Toyota 4runner) was t-boned and totaled, since it had 292k miles. For the replacement price I couldn't find a car as well maintained or running as well as it, as my family had it for 15 years. A family member of mine was going to give me their rx8 as a graduation gift when I graduate college, but since I am now in need of a car, I am picking it up next week. I'm driving it from California to Florida ~3000 miles and I know I'm going to need an oil change when I get home. Right now my family member takes it to a rotary specialist who builds and races rotary engines in northern CA. I've been looking for mechanics in my area that specialize in rotaries but there are very few from what I have found. I was wondering if any members knew of a mechanic that does good work and specializes in these engines in this general area. I am in the Fort Myers area. I see most are in Tampa or Miami, just looking for one a little closer. I would be willing to drive for a mechanic who knows his stuff. I look forward to joining the club and learning a lot more!
