just saw a yellow 8 in 540 around exit 5 going west. Are you here lol

I see the yellow one too, as well as a red (always with both side windows open and the sunroof open too), and a silver one as well on 540

I think you're the guy I always see going the opposite direction with the sweet ass rear fog light on a clean BB 8... I head into raleigh on 540 east in the AM and out on 540 west in the PM. I have a phantom blue 8 w/ appearance pack. Name's Alex

you haven't seen my 8 in a while, been working from home then took the 8 to get the engine rebuilt. Should be able to see me again at the end of this week when I get the 8 back. What time do you get on 540? Yeah Im in the other side going west in the am then east on the pm lol

How long have you had your 8? I think ive seen you but I was driving wifys 2012 black honda CRV with yellow fog lights.

I picked it up mid march, late 06 build with 52k on it. I have been stacking miles on it like crazy which is upsetting. I'm at 58.5k and getting ready for the third oil change...

What year is yours'? What gives with the rebuild?

Haven't taken a pic yet, I plan on getting the camera out this weekend so I will try to snap one. It's bone stock and super clean, I love it, but can't decide what I'm gonna do with it. I am on the fence about selling it honestly, seeing as I just spent a ton of money on the 240 and still have tons left to spend. Not to mention I use at least 4 gallons of premium/idemitsu premix commuting every day. One of the two has to go, haha, or I need to make more money!

Your car is super clean looking, it has def been awhile since I've seen it, but I always keep my eyes peeled for that rear fog light! I get on 540 from 40 around 7-7:15ish in the AM and go to capital blvd. and I do the reverse at around 6:10ish PM.

ah I c. I changed my schedule to 7-4 so we might not cross again lol The 8 had hot starting issues. For over a year so I finally took it to a mechanic and got it rebuild. Almost done just need a shutter valve.

Maybe when ever we get a meet going we can see all the 8 around town.

Word well, it's not a rotary meet, but could always combine it with the local nissan meets, they meet weekly to bi-weekly. I frequent carolinanissans.com forums and we have been trying to get more variety on the site, mostly because hashing out all the same s-chassis stuff all the time is pretty boring, lol. We have some other cars on their, mostly other FR variants like miatas, s2k's and at least one other RX-8...

Where did you have the motor rebuilt? Are you within the 100k core warranty? I noticed a place called McNairs (sp? or something) it's right off 540/70 area, they had a bunch of SA22's out back (love those too, had one for awhile), they must do some rotary work I figure.

Anyways, I will keep an eye out for local meets and such and try to make it out, cool to see you are on here.

i have 123k miles, so im out of warranty. Using this guy called Phillip Evans from Roanoke Rapids NC. He came highly recommend. He works on FDs. Don't sell it lol u got pics of the S13?

It's a S14, I have pictures of piles and piles of parts lol. The car has the front end fitted but the paintwork and rear fitting is yet to come, paint and body is coming soon but I have been debating whether or not I want to cage the thing...

I have 3 red zenkis actually lol, two have some body damage though. I had been dailying one, which is the current home of all my suspension parts and some other bits and pieces. But my bro has been out of a car and needed something to drive and he has it right now :crying:, it tears me up cause he doesn't take care of anything. So I bought another one with an SR swap so I can swap the motors from car to car and he can rag out his own 240.

What was gonna be a simple swap has turned into alot more though. New S15 spec R turbo, new MAFS, new -an power steering setup and reservoir, new engine and trans wiring harnesses, new water pump, new injectors, new oem rad fan shroud, rom tune, exedy stage 2 clutch, light flywheel, better condition trans, full gasket set, -an turbo lines, compressor in/outlets to suit new turbo, wastegate, custom externally wastegated oem turbo manifold mod, and custom KA ac compressor onto SR swap bracket... Boost is addictive lol, shooting for ~270 to the wheels with no turbo lag, working AC, and cruise control.

The daily ~august 2011ish right after new wheels (lowered ALOT since then among other things..)
