Oleta Pics Sun May 21st: Thanks to vOc,SoFl_Rx8,Otrovago,Terry47 for coming to Meet.
I want to take this time to thank the following RX8 owners who came out to our Oleta River State Park Meet (SOFLA RX CLUB) yesterda Sun May 21st.
vOc -Richard, thanks for being a part of this meet yesterday ... It was nice to finally meet you and your Titanium 8.. as well as Katrina and Alex.
Terry47 - Terry it was great to see you again since Markham Park last december.. thank you for lurking and coming out with your wife yesterday. She had some very good advice on running a club.
Otrovago - John, as always you have been a supporter of our club and it was great having you there as well. The long caravan ride on the 826 expwy and all the cars together made for a good video.
SoFl_Rx8 - Devin and better half Marion came and joined us on the long caravan from Tango's Pizza in Kendall.. As always thank you for being a part of us and congratulations are in order as Devin was named as an officer (Secretary) of the SOFLA RX CLUB . I am looking forward to working and sharing in on the vision and imminent success with you for our SOFLA RX CLUB.
VILBABY - Vilmarie, I also want to thank for being a part of yesterdays event and for assisting me with the collecting of funds and she has been named as and officer (Treasurer)
There were about 4 other new RX8 owners that showed up whose names I dont have at present but as well I want to thank them for joining us and being a part of this great venue.
I didnt see the other 8's owners that had said they would be attending but didnt show such as Bindon8, AlexCisneros, sssuperman82,ArturoCAC, MikeAA85, LouRX8 I sure would have liked to have seen you guys there because it was a great turnout perhaps you can make it to a future event of ours.

It was a great meet, lots of fun, lots of great footage, and some good discussion on the future plans of the club. Sorry we didnt see more RX8's out there, you guys need to come out and represent.
I will be working with a friend of mine on editing the video Marion took of the drive up... I can say from watching it at home that we got some beautiful shots of the pack, some great highspeed footage, a couple of rolling drive bys, and even some flame action from Jeffs 3rd gen! Not to mention a priceless ROLLING ROAD BLOCK on the highway exit ramp. Once it is all edited and put to music, Ill be posting it on youtube and will make a thread with a link.
Untill then, it was great to see you all out there, and I hope to see you next thursday, June 1st at Tango's for our regular 2x a month meet.

Email me at: soflarxclub@yahoo.com or you can contact Devin "SoFl_Rx8" who happens to be an officer in our club.
We have some great plans in the future ... I believe the next big meet will take place in Fort Lauderdale... Rick's son who drives a Turbo II will be coming back from the military and we would like to give him a rotary welcome. Rick is trying to locate a park in Ft Lauderdale where we can have this meet. It will be a nice drive for the south dade people as well as the broward crew.
I hope to meet you soon and be a part of this dynamic club.

We have had some events with over 67 cars in attendance back in January.. our bi-weekly meets at TANGOS PIZZA in Miami have on the average about 36 rotaries attending... so if you are ever down this way give me a call at 786-286-3351 or email me... Be well...Miami is a great city but you got to watch out for the guy driving behind you... many dont keep a safe following distance

Considering the last meet was 3 years ago, I'm not seeing another one in the near future.
You'll probably want to organize it yourself. Just figure out where you want to have it. Contact the park and try to reserve a pavilion. Then start cross posting it all around the Florida rotary sites for best turnout. Pitch'in BBQ's are always a great time. If you put something together, give me some details and I'll cross post it for you on my site too since we've got a bunch of Miami members.
