Spyder, Redline, I'm totally new to the area (2 weeks now) and would like to hook up with some other ATL owners and go, however, I know no-one. sorry i can't go now. THe boyfrined has a VERY sever case of mono and tonsilitis...we're going to be stuck here bc i'm being the over protective gf and not letting him stand out in the sun for 12 hours for 2 days

They think i gave it to him actually. I had a long lasting cough and some other stuff go on and they think that was my bodies way of dealing with it...sooo...who knows. Knock on wood i don't get it though!!!

i've made it past the point of getting tonsilis i believe...It says that i'd show signs after 2-5 days..and it's been 6. So i should be in the clear with that aspect alteast. I'm not too sure when my "exposure" to mono was...but that can take 4-6 weeks to show up...

Me and the gang are headed down there both days rather early so if anyone wants to meet up there or something that'd be cool. Looking forward to possibly seeing a few more 8s than last year entered but I dont expect it.

In Kirkwood, which is between Little 5 Points and East Atlanta-close to midtown. Seeing that it is on the far North side of the metro, I figure those of us down this way can meet up intially, then stop and meet others on the way up North (however, that may be a bit complex depending on how many stops on the way up). Hopefully we can get this figured out so everyone that wants to caravan can do so.

do u need to register go get in? I would be in the area for vacation and I will be driving my 8 there

not unless you're entering your car and it might be too late for that now. We are headed down there from Dalton (about 1 hr away) so I'm game for meeting anyone else on the way down. I'm not sure what time we'll be leaving either day though. When's everyone else going down?

Hey Ugot..Let's go ahead and put together a plan for us here in ATL (Stone Mountain isn't far from me) to meet up somewhere Sat. morning to cruise up there together. If anybody else is close to the mid-town area and is intersted, please chime in. Heck, it is only a few days away now.

I'm right there with Josh (ugot8up) close to Stone Mountain, he is actually the one who sold me my car. I'm planning on heading up there on Sat. morning as well, the three of us can caravan up there if you like. just let me know the plans.

Sounds good. I am pretty new to the area (3 weeks now in ATL) so I am kind of limited in my knowledge of ideal meeting places. Perhaps somewhere between you guys and Decatur, maybe off the loop? What time do you guys want to head out there, as some of the guys who are actually entering are going to get there pretty early. The general gates don't open till 10 with the first event starting at 11:30.

well I'm not entering, my car is all stock :p so whatever time you think we need to leave to get there between 10 and 10:30. as fas as a meeting place, that I'm not so sure about...

I'm an idiot. Let me correct my stupidty. I didn't realize Atlanta Motor Speedway was south of the Metro (go on, flame the idiot newbie!). For some reason I had it confused with Road Atlanta (Guess I got this and the Petit Lemans thing completely backwards).

StarKey, Ugot, why don't we meet up at the South Dekalb Mall just South of I20 at the Candler road exit around 9:30? It shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes from that location, and should be pretty easy to get to from Stone Mountain.

Let me know if that will work or if anyone has a better sugestion (or if anyone else wants to meet there).

meet up with the North leg of the Super Street tour to NOPI, I was the only RX-8 there, I think everyone was dully(?) impressed. Unfortunately do to school I will not be able to make it to ATL, but after showing in last years show I know you guys will love it. I wish I could be there.

I went to the ATL nopi (i didnt show my 8 :( ) but we could have used a good 8 there. There was maybe 3 and only one had any mods at all.

There was that full red carbon fiber turbo 8 down there, that speaker company's 8, and that was about it...oh yeah the eclipse/rx-8 nightmare was there too.
