i would imagine compression problems would be your seals, but it wouldnt hurt to try seafoam. i got a can of it for $11 and it was enough to do my car and Diandras (itsdidihi's) car. from start to finish it took me 2 hours.

i agree. can anyone do a meet this sunday? even if its like one or two people it would be fun. a meeting place would have to be decided but shouldnt be a issue.

read my last post, what do you think would be best? i only feel sunday because its not as short notice so more people might be able to.

and how much should i expect to spend on the rear brake pads and what kind should i get? also if we could meet tomorrow so you can see if thats actually the issue and not something else with my rear right brake.

chino0314 01-20-2011 11:18 PM

Ok. I'm out of class at 9:50am tomorrow so if you're down for sometime between 10:15-11:50 that would be perfect, as I am taking a friend to lunch as a thank you for letting me borrow a textbook so I didn't have to go buy it for one of my classes this semester for $145. Lol

Usually yes but sometimes built up carbon in the combustion chamber can cause the seals to not seal properly. This is a long shot ofcourse but I have one mechanic saying low compression which he showed me in the form of a compression test and I have another guy telling me those compression tests are not always accurate. I am not sure what to believe. The last mechanic (the negative one) keeps insisting that Mazda will not warantee the motor and that it's another problem.

My brother is a mechanic as well and a good one. I described some of my noises during hi RPM's plus the misfires and he mentioned looking at the spark plugs to see if I notice any dark areas around the plugs. The spark plugs are about 20k old so I might need new ones I guess. I do run it like hard 24/7 so maybe but the issues have been happening even when the plugs only had like 5k.

So if anyone wants to meet I can spare a couple hours this weekend if it means I figure something out. :anger:

Incentive: You get to see the Forgestar F14's in person!

Ricky SE3P 01-21-2011 03:07 AM

Well, Sunday morning I might have plans but I'll be done with them by 1. So anyone down for 1pm Sunday? Location we all need to agree on.

chino0314 01-21-2011 08:12 AM

RotaryP7 01-21-2011 11:22 AM

Yea, I still need help with the fog light bulbs.. Haha. I think I work on Sunday, fml. I'll let you guys know.

cavemancan 01-21-2011 01:33 PM

So what you guys are telling me is I need a teleporter? One guy is in Pembroke the other is at county line I'm in Kendal... :rollingla

Well, either way I get my tax return next month and one way or the other this car will be restored to above factory performance! At least 210 to the wheels and maybe 300 + by the end of the year. Maybe if Hinson decides its a good idea to make that v8 kit I might do something stupid...Who knows. :Peace:

BHR get your production lines warmed up bitches! I'll be buying some sheit soon. :)

I wouldn't say it's running...More like jogging and when the weather is cold then it runs and when it's hot it has bronchitis.

You see the car runs great from idle to 6k. Then it all goes to hell! If you had an automatic BB gun and you shot it into a tin can thats what it sounds like between 6k and 9k.

To make matters worse 2nd, 4th, and 5th all CRUNCH during moderate shifting. Say goodbye to the gearbox. :tear:

Ironically enough this thing will probably keep running for another 50k to 100k but with no power. Currently at 97,000 miles.

My8Stealth 01-21-2011 04:41 PM

Well hello there... neways just re-created my 8 account.... and im in palm beach...Got some ish to take care of in miami so im always down for sunday... Jus let me know...
and hi mizz benz ;p

chino0314 01-21-2011 04:44 PM

and what's the status with the engine replacement??

Seafaoming could possibly speed this up, you see one reason why you might
Still have compression could be your carbon build up, seafoaming could completely
Take all your compression away and you get a new engine.... possibly

On-going...work is driving me nuts and I am working crazy hours. If thats not enough I am studying for my CCNA. So when I'm at work I'm working...when I'm home I'm working. I should have some time in 2 weeks.

As far as the seafoam you make an important point. It is possible the carbon build up may also be whats giving the motor the little compression it has and performing the seafoam may cause it to die completely. This is speculation but with this in mind it would be best for me to wait 2 weeks to do this when I have more time.

:dunno::Wconfused :scratchhe:wallbash:

Still the carbon does not explain the noises at full throttle between 6k and 9k. Only spark and fuel can explain that. I should look into getting new plugs and cleaning the injectors to see what happens.

chino0314 01-21-2011 09:56 PM

doesnt hurt to change your fuel pump either

let me know when you do this if your not going to swap coils we can test mines on your cr to rule everything out at once

Ricky SE3P 01-22-2011 04:55 PM

... so whats up people are we organizing a meet?

chino0314 01-22-2011 05:06 PM

We could but where and when probably not this weekb since it would be short notice...
What day is best for everyone I'm good just about everyday but thursdays in the afternoon....
Maybe a meet at 5guys(no homo) in dadeland and we can shoot some picks on the roof parking are just chit chat and shit

Ricky SE3P 01-22-2011 05:08 PM
