March 25th-26th Grand Prix of Miami/Indy 300 Corral
March 25th will be the Grand Prix of Miami followed by the Indy 300 March 26th at Homestead Miami Speedway.
They are allowing car clubs to park inside, and the car club with the most people will be awarded a parade lap prior to the start of the Rolex GrandAM race. The pricing is TBD, but expect a bit more than the $20 General Admission fee. There will be security for the cars and each car is insured while on property. The admission will also include a paddock pass.
Here's why we should come together as a Rotary Family and attend (this means any Rotor, hell any Mazda).
Speedsource will be running their new 3 rotor GT cars at this race! (<--that's enough for me anyway). They may (and this is complete hearsay) even park some of the ST cars we've grown to love with us.
Goldin Brothers will also be there with their 3 rotor GT car.
The race will be through out the infield, except it will use Nascar turns 3 and 4 so the speeds will be great. (<--tell me your mouth doesn't water thinking about those 3 rotors in full song entering turn one).
Hey Mazda, if you're reading this... How about you pay the entrace, we'll market the cars?

Cool, they are finalizing the package and pricing and will let me know shortly.
The local Mitsubishi EVO club thinks they can get more cars than us... I think they're wrong

ok, just got off the phone with HMS... There will be two packages available for us. The first package is $25 per person. This is the basic package which includes a General Admission Ticket, Paddock Pass, and Corral Parking.
The second package is $40 per person and is called the "Hospitality Package". This includes everything in the Basic Package plus a Hospitality suite in the "Chalet Village", food and drinks (non alchie...)
The passes will be pre-sold, probably with a call in. The "club code" is SE Rotary Club... and it's not really Rotary only, but it is Mazda only. Since it is sold as an individual basis, it's up to you to decide what package you want.
BTW: I'm at work and strangely I'm filtered on the RX7 site but not here so if someone can post it there it would be nice... Otherwise I'll do it tonight.
I should be getting an email from HMS tonight so I'll post the new info then.

Ok, so here is the flyer. You can either print it and send it in with payment, or you can call the number on the bottom and pay with credit card. Keep in mind, that if you bring someone, they also need to get a ticket. General admission is $20, but I don't think you get the paddock pass.

ok, I'm definately going. I have a question, I'm taking my wife with me. do I have to buy her the same $25 dollar ticket? or does she just have to buy a regular ticket? They open at 8:30am, since we'll be parking in the corral area do we have to get there at a certain time?

she needs to buy at least the $25 ticket... otherwise she won't be able to go to the same places you can go (paddock, track, etc.)
Glad to see you will be coming out!!!

yeah, you would need to get there early to avoid the race traffic and pedestrians... be there atleast at 8:30am When you get your ticket you will also receive information on where to go and where to be and at what times.

Greetings,
This is Pete from Homestead Miami Speedway.
Alex, thanks for posting the link for the thread over at RX7club.com as it already contains so much information. I've already posted this on the RX7club.com thread, but just in case anybody missed it over there I wanted to post this on here too. As an incentive, we are going to give those of you who purchase your Car Club Packages by February 17th the parade lap. The club with the most cars to sign up will get to lead the lap.
Thanks,
Pete
