Look at his face and say this:

uh der der der der der der der der der

Glyphon 09-29-2005 11:45 AM

why did he tape his headlights over?

1. when taping cars for aerodynamic reasons, you tape over places where air could get caught...ie, seams. he didn't cover any seams, just the lights.

2. at autox speeds, wind resistance isn't an issue.

edit:
ok, so that's on a track, not autox (from what i can tell). well, that just goes back to he did it wrong.

epitrochoid 09-29-2005 11:51 AM

most people tape over their headlights so they wont shatter if they catch a rock from a leading car

legokcen 09-29-2005 12:02 PM

I have to let everyone know. That was a hell of a ride. Later on, I got teo drive the car and that was so much fun. Thanks a lot STF!!! You're the man too!

Phlash 09-29-2005 12:13 PM

The lights still shatter if hit hard enough at speed. The tape is there to be courteous as to hold it together best as possible and not leave crap all over the track.

legokcen 09-29-2005 01:23 PM

I still look back to that ride and smile uncontrollably.

ZoomZoomH 09-29-2005 01:51 PM

you smile as if somebody's touching you in an unpure manner ;) :o

L8APEX 09-29-2005 02:03 PM

knowing lego, he may have reacted as if someone touched him in an nupure manner

Stop&TurnFreak 09-29-2005 02:33 PM

NOTE, my hands are in PLAIN view.

Lego, if he would have snapped a pic of you driving in your session, yes, I would have been smiling like that too. AND, if you would have run the camera in the session I drove your car, well, people would think I was having a 'good' time. /cheesy 70's por*no music/ chcicchci wowowowow chicicich/cheesy music off./

10kRPMS 09-29-2005 02:57 PM

That was because he was drugged!!! Just look at him

Stop&TurnFreak 09-29-2005 03:37 PM

Lego, I would be curios to know what you thought of the handling of my car, as far as the corner-weighting, etc. Do you think it was better/worse, stable or less, etc....

Mine Aren't!!!

There are only a couple things that are as exciting as being on that track with an RX-8 or Evo 8. The other is private.

I thought it was better. The suspension is wonderful. I was talking to Phlash earlier in the weekend that when you drove in the Walmart parking lot and drove across the parking lines, I could feel them. :) I loved the feeling of the well balanced 4WD during the turns. It's very different than the well balanced rear wheel drive feeling. The slight drifts are such bliss. It was also very confortable and easy to drive it fast. It's similar to the RX-8 in that feeling. The feeling (and reaction) during turns is the main difference. Different feelings, both amazing.

Stop&TurnFreak 09-29-2005 07:26 PM

Thanks, that is what I was thinking, but I was curious as to your opinion.

SilverEIGHT 10-03-2005 10:53 PM

Lego, you look like a kid on a roller coster. :D

STF I've been reading all this awesome EVO stuff and I hope I have the pleasure of watching you run sometime. Sorry I missed the Roebling event.
