Time: TBD

I'm potentially in. I think this movie looks hysterical.

lsujim 07-28-2006 05:07 PM

I can make either the 19th or the 26th at this point. The sooner we can land on a date the better. This is a great idea!!

Spyder_doo 08-01-2006 07:26 AM

sounds like a good idea...I'm down for it depending on the day.

SilverEIGHT 08-01-2006 07:44 AM

OK, how about we make it the 19th.

You're assuming is doesn't pan and get yanked from the theaters. I'm in either way but in favor of an earlier weekend.

SilverEIGHT 08-01-2006 11:30 AM

??? What's this about being yanked? I've not heard anything about that.

Are they saying it's gonna be that bad??

valpac 08-01-2006 05:10 PM

not to me. I like Will Ferrell and his stupid humor. But you know they are hyping this movie so much. I hope we havent already seen the funniest bits in the trailers.

SilverEIGHT 08-01-2006 05:20 PM

LOL... I've watched the trailers 10 times and still laugh my ass off. I'll do it again when I'm sitting in the theater. These days they start promoting a movie over a year in advance and buy the time it finally comes out, your either driven to frenzy or you are bored with waiting. I think in this case I'm in the frenzy phase but growing really tired of waiting.

I can't wait and Lee Ann says we're going this weekend. I've worked every weekend for I don't know how long other than the RA weekend so this weeknd is for r/r. I need to get together w/the group soon. I am feeling withdrawals.

SilverEIGHT 08-01-2006 08:25 PM

Well Goober... you can come watch it again with us! :)

SilverEIGHT 08-01-2006 08:28 PM

OK, What theater are we going to choose? Of course I'd like The Mall of Georgia but I know that ain't gonna happen. So lets pick one as central as possible.

SilverEIGHT 08-01-2006 08:38 PM

First post is now keeping us up-to-date. Spread the word to or friends and lets see if we can't get another nice group together. This will definately be a hoot! :icon16:

whenson417 08-02-2006 12:59 PM

I say we can do the Mall of Ga Matinee and then all run the Suthernland and show our appreciation in their interest in our group. Maybe they will sponser a big tent at Barber next year if we can tell them we can get about a hunderd or so mazda's out there. Plus they may be able to flash our cars.

SilverEIGHT 08-02-2006 01:26 PM

I like Matinee's... they are cheep! Like me! :D: I can talk to Sutherlin and see if they are interested in something on the 19th. I know someone mentioned they were interested in something like that anyway. I frequent their location and they do know me so I don't have a problem stopping by and seeing if they would be interested in something. I can also see if we can reserve a group of seats at the theater. If you guys are interested, I can go ahead and purchase the tickets for those that are committed.

L8APEX 08-02-2006 01:42 PM

I wish I could, but no can do. I already have plans made for that Saturday.

lsujim 08-02-2006 10:24 PM

Tickets

I'm okay with purchasing tickets ahead of time. When and where?

UFGator12 08-02-2006 10:35 PM

I am positive that my friends and I will go and see this before the 19th. Maybe if ya'll do something on the 19th after the movie I could stop by for that? Would that work out?

As in I went to see it tonight on opening night. Hilarious though. I really liked it a lot. I would recommend anyone seeing it.

SilverEIGHT 08-05-2006 07:00 AM

Thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to it.

g0pher 08-05-2006 08:41 AM

come to birmingham, we are having a red carpet event at the summit for this movie.

SilverEIGHT 08-05-2006 08:58 AM

g0pher... can you give us a few details? I was wondering if they would do something like that. Passed by the Talladega track the other day when we went to the Barber Grand American and thought they would be haveing some kind of special event. Will it be with the cast?

valpac 08-05-2006 02:46 PM

What's the summit?

SilverEIGHT 08-07-2006 07:56 AM

A friend of mine came into work today trying to tell me about the movie. He was laughing so hard he was crying... he could hardly tell me about it. Said he laughed from the time it started till he left the theater.
